RH Hotels & Management (Pty) Ltd was formed in  January 2014, but its Management Team and hotels have been together since 2008.  The group currently offers Sales, Marketing and Operational support to 5 hotels in South Africa, individually owned by RH Holdings in the UK and operating under IHG Franchise agreements.

Our Management Team bring over 125 years of Hospitality experience to the table, having worked with a number of international and local brands in both operational and management company roles.  We offer expertise in Sales, Marketing, Operations, as well as finance.  Our current Sales Team brings a combined 165 years worth of Sales experience to the table.

Vedika Rutthan
Director of Operations

Vedika has been in the Hotel Industry for 20 years and has gained a wealth of knowledge in many areas, from Front Office, Reservations, Conferencing & Events, Revenue to Sales and Marketing.

Her background in  Hotel Operations and back-of -house allows her to understand all areas of the hotel and how important it is for departments to work together to drive a clear goal.

Vedika is a specialist in her field and very passionate about the Sales & Revenue World in the Hospitality Industry. She is a strong leader who is self-motivated and keen to explore new ideas, and has the ability to drive a team to its full capabilities.

  

Sandra Boome

 

 

Sandra Boome
National Marketing Manager

Sandra began her career in hospitality in 1996 in the Sales Department of Protea Hotels, where she quickly discovered her love of Marketing. Under the guidance of popular industry marketer, Allan Duke, Sandra nurtured her marketing knowledge and was promoted to Marketing Manager for the 4 star Protea Hotel President in Bantry Bay in 1999.

From there, Sandra moved on to become Marketing Services Manager for the Protea Hotels group and ended her long stint at Protea as Group Brand Communications Manager.

Sandra’s area of expertise lies in Sales & Marketing Management at Head Office and Unit Level. Sandra joined ISO Leisure Hotels as the National Marketing Manager in May 2010 and now brings a wealth of marketing experience to RH Hotels & Management (Pty) Ltd.


Rikus Walters

 

Rikus Walters

Group Financial Controller

Rikus studied Bachelor of Commerce at Stellenbosch University and has more than 17 years of experience in various industries both locally and abroad. 

He spent three years in the UK gaining international experience before returning home and continuing his career in South Africa and joined the Company in 2009. He has since progressed through the ranks to occupy the Group Financial Controller position. 

His progression has given him a complete understanding of the operational and financial aspects of the hotel industry and how these two vital parts of the business interact and co-exist within the company.  This makes for an integrated and holistic approach to finance and balancing the needs of the company in an ever-changing, competitive environment.


 

Greg Kearns

 

 

Greg Kearns
Human Resources

Greg Kearns graduated from the Johannesburg Hotel School in 1989 and later completed his studies at the Unisa School of Business Leadership. In 1991, he began his career in hospitality within a national hotel company. After several years Greg moved from the hotel operations field into the Human Resource Management field, staying in the hospitality industry. Greg has remained in the Human Resource Management field for the last 17 years and has gained experience in different companies and industries. Greg joins RH Hotels & Management (Pty) Ltd as the company’s Human Resource Consultant.
